Weekly Topic Recommendations are back! In our last post, we talked about five topics to make your Xiaomi look like never before. And with the desire to continue along the same lines, today we bring you a selection of different customization packages that stand out for their style, dynamism and functionality. Are you ready? because these the themes for MIUI that you should definitely download on your Xiaomi.

Most of the topics that we will mention below you can find them by their respective name in the Themes app. However, if you have problems downloading any, try changing the region of your device. The procedure sounds a bit intimidating, but we assure you that it is as simple as breathing. At the end of the list we will leave you the steps.

1. Theme for Xiaomi: Emotional battery | Download

We open the listing with a techno style theme for Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices. Is about emotional battery, a customization pack with square shapes and multiple shades of gray. Despite having a lock screen with multiple shortcuts and a good batch of custom iconsthese are not its main attraction.

In fact, the main attraction of Emotional battery is precisely the friendly battery with a face that adorns the wallpaper. You might think that it’s just a drawing and that’s it, but no. It is a animation whose gestures change depending on the level of your battery. Amazing, isn’t it? The theme is compatible with MIUI 12 and MIUI 12.5 so feel free to check it out.

Waves Pro, theme to download on your Xiaomi

Second, we welcome you to Waves Proa customization package that stands out for its striking color contrast. It could be said that it is an immersive theme because of its aura, which immediately surrounds you and throws you fully into its world. Among its main characteristics, its particular custom icons and your wallpaper.

On the other hand, Waves Pro also offers two lock screen alternatives. One has multiple shortcuts, between applications and control center functions, and another with a modern loading animation. If you like what you see, the theme is compatible with Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices running MIUI 12 and MIUI 12.5.

3. Theme for Xiaomi: Oddity UI | Download

When it comes to customization options, we can ensure that Oddity UI He is one of the heavyweights. The theme features a dreamy, serene, diaphanous design. It exudes modernity and style wherever you look at it. And it is that, in addition to its custom icons, the package allows you to choose different lock screen and desktop clock layouts.

The selection can be made from the same lock screen. Among the options are animated backgrounds, some minimalist, and others that stand out for their variety of shortcuts, and the same goes for the desktop clock. Also, Oddity UI has a curious and funny loading animation which will surely make you laugh.

In the fourth place we highlight the topic new-timea customization package that also offers multiple layouts for clock screen blocking. All you have to do is slide your finger on the screen with your phone locked to access the customization menu.

New time, customization pack for MIUI
new-time

5. Theme for Xiaomi: Blue abstract | Download

To end the weekly recommendations, we want to talk about the topic abstract blue. Its design is simple, or better let’s call it minimalist. Its background is a blue sea, or is it brush strokes? the surface of a sapphire? We don’t know the truth, but it is certainly captivating. It has its custom icon pack among other surprises.

Blue Abstract, theme to download on your Xiaomi
abstract blue

Blue abstract is a theme that offers a couple of different lock screen designs. You can opt for a sober screen with the header clock, or a background full of shortcuts. It’s a good option if you want to change the default theme of your Xiaomi little by little. The package is compatible with MIUI 12 and MIUI 12.5.

So you can change the region on your Xiaomi

Changing the region is a reversible procedure that will not take you more than a minute. They are mobiles that meet the minimum required by any basic user in terms of fluidity, screen, battery… and also barely exceed 250 euros. These are some of the most recommended terminals

Inigo Galparsoro

The supply crisis ? among other reasons ? has forced mobile phone manufacturers to raise their prices considerably. And among them, there are terminals that paradoxically suffer from excessive continuity and more humble features than those of the previous generation (in the case of the chipset or the camera). Be that as it may, there are still more than recommended cheap smartphones that should not be lost track of.

A solid alternative for tight budgets. This mobile has an HD+ screen, an acceptable chipset, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, triple rear camera and up to 5,000 mAh. Of battery. They are quite modest benefits, yes, but more than enough for those who are going to use the mobile sporadically to send messages on WhatsApp, check email and/or take a specific photograph.

Realme C21Y price: from 109 euros

Mobile that shows that Xiaomi (or its Redmi sub-brand) moves like a fish in water in the entry range, with sober but competent terminals. This Redmi 10 retains the resolution of its panel in FullHD +, to which it adds a solvent chipset (Helio G88), 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD cards). In addition to a quad rear camera, it also has an outstanding 5,000 mAh battery. With NFC but without 5G.

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Price: from 135 euros

In line with many of its rivals, this mobile maintains a marked commitment to continuity, palpable in many of its specifications. Its 6.43-inch Amoled screen is up to the task, although its performance may fall somewhat short if it is going to be used fairly demanding. And idem of idem with its photographic section. Of course, it offers a good general balance, where the 5,000 mAh stand out. of your battery.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Price: from 169 euros

4

Poco x4 Pro / Poco x3 Pro

Arguments are not lacking for this mobile to be a best seller: an improved 6.67-inch Amoled screen, higher resolution for its main camera (108 megapixels) and fast charging of up to 67W. for outstanding autonomy. Of course, it is shocking that it implements a more modest processor than its predecessor since, despite being more than competent for average use, it is light years away from that Snapdragon 860 of the Poco X3 Pro.

Price of the Poco x4 Pro: from 251 euros

Poco x3 Pro Price: from 219 euros

This mobile is still a mandatory recommendation… and that’s because its successor has just been introduced, a Poco F4 GT with more ambitious features (and much more expensive). This Poco F3 lacks nothing: a brilliant 6.67-inch 120 Hz Amoled panel, guaranteed performance thanks to the Snapdragon 870 processor, 128 GB of internal storage and a fast charge of 33 W… With a photographic section that meets (but not wonder), stereo speakers and compatibility with 5G networks.

Poco F3 Price: from 249 euros

6

Realme GT Master Edition

Its lower price makes it a more than interesting option. This mobile stands out for the balance it offers in all its specifications. As strong points, its remarkable 6.43-inch screen at 120 Hz., and a guarantee processor such as the Snapdragon 778G. In addition, they are accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal starting storage. Its battery deceives, since despite its 4,300 mAh. it can be perfectly more than a day without going through the plug.

Realme GT Master Edition Price: from 259 euros

The rise of Chinese mobiles has left once-successful families such as the Moto G in the background. This smartphone is a palpable example of this, since it has a good 6.4-inch OLED panel, a solvent chipset (without bragging), 6 GB of RAM, triple rear camera and guaranteed battery. Its greatest value: the pure Android experience it offers. And, of course, 5G.

Moto G71 Price: from 259 euros

The perfect example of the solvency that the mobile phones of the Korean brand boast in the mid-range. Its Amoled screen is more than remarkable (manufacturer’s hallmark), as is the good level that it boasts in all its specifications. With a remarkable photographic section, it adds 5,000 mAh. battery, 25 W. fast charge and great connectivity (5G, WiFi 6, NFC, etc.).

Samsung M52 Price: from 259 euros

BTS: the seven young Koreans who changed the vision of the Kpop genre in the world. Photo: Time.

Modern K-pop (from the English ?Korean pop?) has its origins in the 1990s with the rise of the popular group Seo Taiji and Boys in 1992known for incorporating Western music genres such as rap, hip-hop, rock, jazz, electronica, and techno into their songs.

This trio, consisting of Seo Taiji, Yang Hyun-suk and Lee Juno, made their debut on an MBC talent show with the song Nan Arayo, perplexing the jury, which gave them the lowest ratings. However, the success that this single gained on radio and television was resounding, which gave way to the release of more songs of that style and more artists who bet on it.

It was not until 1995 when producer Lee Soo Man founded one of the firms that to date remain a “heavyweight” in the music industry, S Entertainment; while former Seo Taiji & Boys member Yang Hyun Suk created YG-Entertainment (nineteen ninety six); followed by JYPEntertainment (1997), established by singer Park Jin Young.

These three companies were long called the ?Big 3? ?until the success BTS achieved with BigHit Entertainment (today known as Hybe Labels)? and were dedicated to teaching the first generation of idols, in order to satisfy the demand of the Korean public to want to see younger artists.

On this path, the group HOT was one of the first to debut in the industry, followed by others who made up the well-known “first generation of K-pop” such as Sechs Kies, SES, Fin.KL, NRG, Baby VOX, Diva, Shinhwa and god

At the beginning of the new millennium, some of the idol groups that had debuted were inactive while others like Baby Vox were successful in other Asian countries, with the song Coincidence being promoted in the 2003 World Cup and occupying the first position in the charts. of Chinese music.

At the same time, other artists who launched as solo artists also marked a milestone: BoA, the first Korean singer to lead the Oricon chart in Japan, an equivalent to the list Billboard but Asian and in which artists from other countries rarely manage to enter and Rain, an actor and singer who gave a concert for 40 thousand people in Beijing.

Later, the so-called “second generation of K-pop” would begin, again in the hands of groups that were made up of young figures, as was the case with TVXQ (debuting in 2003), SS501 (2005), Super Junior (2005), BIGBANG (2006), as well as girl groups such as Wonder Girls (2007), Girls Generation (2007), and KARA (2007).

A brief tour of the history of K-pop. (Illustration: Anayeli Tapia)

By 2008, South Korea was already leading the entertainment market in Asia with an annual growth rate of over 10% in exports of its music and television products with K-dramas even accounting for 68% of the music market. in Japan, ahead of China (11.2%) and the United States (2.1%).

Later, more groups like SHINee or INFINITE, the latter who managed to secure the record of being the first to lead the Billboard emerging artists list in 2014 with their song Last Romeo; 2PM, EXO, 2IN1, until reaching the third generation of K-pop which includes new groups such as BTS, Seventeen, GOT7, Twice, Red Velvet, BLACKPINKMAMAMOO, among others, up to the current fourth generation who are all those who debuted between 2017 and 2018 as Stray Kids, ITZY, Ateez, Astro and more.

It is worth mentioning that a watershed that should be considered is Gangnam Style of the rapper PSYa song that not only managed to break unimaginable records on music platforms like YouTube, but also went around the world and showed that language was not a barrier to success in highly competitive countries such as the American industry.

To date, the baton as the greatest exponents of K-pop is held by the group BTS ?made up of Suga, RM, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, V and Jungkook?, who in addition to dominating the music industry in South Korea and establishing their fame in the rest of the world, have been named as “Asian trend leader” byr The Economist and ?Artists of the Year? by the magazine TIMEgoing through his award nominations grammys and its 10 awards Billboard.

In Colombia, neither the intimate life of the presidents nor what happens within the Armed Forces is publicly discussed. The first has its logic, the second is an aberration that has allowed the military to get out of line, commit outrages and abuses of human rights almost with the consent or silence of the civil power.

In the Government of Iván Duque, the military have become even more autonomous and function as black boxes to which very few civilians have access. Today reckless luxuries are given that had not been possible before. Without much trauma they have become political activists and deliberative subjects, two things that the Colombian constitution prohibits. It is surprising that this dangerous metamorphosis that breaks the constitutional order has had the consent of President Iván Duque himself who, to the misfortune of our democracy, has acted as if he were the subordinate of the generals.

This license of the military to cross borders hitherto insurmountable, was very well portrayed in the painful episode carried out a few weeks ago by the commander of the army, General Eduardo Enrique Zapateiro. In an unprecedented event, the general was launched against the candidate Gustavo Petro and like any campaigning politician used his Twitter to whip him. The general did not like that Petro had told a truth revealed by Otoniel, the head of the Gulf clan before he was extradited to the United States: that there were “some generals from the Colombian army” on the payroll of that powerful cartel.

In Colombia, the Constitution says that the military cannot be deliberative and that the presidents cannot intervene in politics, two prohibitions derived from the time of La Violencia, when nearly 200,000 Colombians died in a war between the traditional parties. Reluctantly, presidents, including the unmanageable Álvaro Uribe, have complied with this rule that few foreign analysts understand.

With Duque that tradition was broken. The president has been intervening in the campaign without shame and his example has been understood by the military as an invitation to violate the Constitution. For this reason, General Zapateiro was not called to order by Duque nor has he been dismissed by the disciplinary bodies. Instead, Duque supported him, arguing that the Petro candidate had interfered in the barracks and tarnished military honor. This is how the Chavista Castro is the institutionality in Colombia.

Under the Duque Administration, the military has been able to function on its own. They have no doctrine, because their historic enemy disarmed, but they continue to resort to the “Search and Destroy” strategy, derived from the Vietnam War. That was what they did a few days ago in a town in the department of Putumayo, located in the south of the country. They came firing their weapons, massacred civilians and left. The president neither rebuked them nor called them to order. Duque will go down in history for being a president who was unable to exercise his leadership over the military and who preferred to be his pimp.

One of the great problems that the next president is going to have, whoever he may be, is that he is going to have to assume power with an army that for the most part has lost the notion of what military honor really means. With all due respect to General Zapateiro and President Duque, military honor is not sullied by telling the truth. And unfortunately it is true that there are officers in collusion with drug traffickers. As it is also true that there are corrupt officials who use the reserved expenses for their personal expenses. It is also true that there are generals with luxurious apartments and expensive properties who have become rich in the service. And the most serious thing: the control bodies seldom dare to investigate and sanction them.

According to the definition, military honor “is a moral quality, linked to dignity” that drives the soldier to “carry out the strictest compliance” with their duties before others and themselves. That is to say, military honor is based on moral and ethical virtues of the soldier that force him to fulfill his duty without any stain or blemish.

Within that concept of military honor there was no room for corruption scandals or impositions such as the one that was demanded of President Juan Manuel Santos the day before the peace agreement was signed. In this trap, the military leadership made its support for the process subject to the inclusion of an article stating that the illicit enrichment of the generals during their service could be a related crime, subject to amnesty. That day, the generals conditioned their support for peace to a shameful demand that tarnished military honor because it sought to cleanse their ill-gotten fortunes. An army that one day before signing the peace was thinking about its pockets is not an army that can speak of military honor.

They also failed their oath when they adopted without any moral challenge the heinous practice of false positives that caused the death of 6,400 Colombians at the hands of the Army. Those who swore to defend the lives of Colombians with arms devised a plan to assassinate civilians and make them appear as guerrillas killed in combat. That was his way to access benefits that ranged from a vacation to a promotion. Several mid-ranking officers have gone to transitional justice to accept what they did and have apologized to the victims, but the vast majority of generals continue to deny their responsibility and have said that what they did was in compliance with orders, invoking again an arbitrary interpretation of what military honor actually means.

After almost ten years of uncovering the scandal of false positives, it has not been possible to know who gave the order to assassinate six thousand Colombians.

An army that is incapable of reflecting on its mistakes and violations of human rights is an army that is using military honor to cover up its ethical failures and to justify what it should never have done.

During the war against the FARC, the military and civil power constructed a narrative in which the uniformed men were the good guys and the heroes. But after the signing of the agreement it has been discovered that the war was not that simple and that what there was was a collusion in which legal and illegal powers crossed. When the abuses by the public force were impossible to cover up, the first to react were not the powers in Colombia, but the North American Congress that, with amendments such as that of Senator Patrick Leahy, confronted the human rights problem with much more determination. who had our forces.

The few advances in this area we owe more to NGOs such as HRW, and to several US senators, than to internal containment policies.

It is time to demand that the military act with their military honor in mind and to demand that the next president, whoever he may be, not be their pimp.

From an OECD mathematics ranking of 11 in the world 20 years ago, Australian secondary students are now languishing in 29th place out of 38 countries, according to the most recent statistics.

The sliding maths rankings have created widespread debate over whether curriculum changes are needed in our schools, but a new international paper co-authored by University of South Australia cognitive psychologist Dr Fernando Marmolejo-Ramos could provide part of the solution.

In the latest edition of Integrative Psychology and Behavioural Science, Dr Marmolejo-Ramos and researchers from China and Iran explain why simple gestures such as hand motions are important in helping students understand mathematical concepts.

?Many people struggle with mathematics and there is a lot of anxiety around it because it is an abstract topic,? Dr Marmolejo-Ramos says. ?You see the numbers, equations and graphs, but unless you engage human motor and sensory skills, they can be very difficult to grasp.?

To get maths concepts across, it is important to bring together language, speech intonation, facial expressions and hand gestures, particularly the latter, the researchers say.

?Using your hands to create triangular, spherical, circular shapes and straight lines, reflecting the formulas you are trying to explain, is vital. It helps our brain better understand the concepts and commit them to memory.?

Gestures are body movements that are learnt from infancy, usually before speech, so they are ingrained in humans as a way of processing and acquiring new knowledge.

Dr Marmolejo-Ramos says hand gestures are more relevant in teaching mathematics than other subjects because they engage our sensorimotor skills to help students interpret numbers more effectively.

The shift from face-to-face teaching towards online learning in the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic has made it even more challenging for maths students, Dr Marmolejo-Ramos says.

?When the only input you have is from a screen and a set of headphones, it is more difficult to use tools and gestures on screen. It?s not impossible, however, and if online learning is going to become more widespread, then hand gestures should be incorporated into the online teaching.?

?People struggle with mathematics for several reasons. It?s progressively demanding but if you grasp the basics, the curve is not as steep.?

?Gestures Enhance Executive Functions for the Understanding of Mathematical Concepts? is published in the Integrative Psychological and Behavioural Science journal. It is authored by Omid Khatin-Zadeh from the University of Electronic Science and Technology, China; Dr Zahra Eskandari from the Chabahar Maritime University, Iran; and Dr Fernando Marmolejo-Ramos from the University of South Australia.

The OECD?s Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) assesses 15-year-olds? maths, science and reading skills every three years. The most recent assessment in 2019 show that Australia?s performance in maths has been declining since 2003.

On average, Australian maths students are 14 months behind than where they were 20 years ago, with 46 per cent of 15-year-olds failing to meet the national standard of proficiency in mathematics.

HTC is a brand that has lost presence in the market these years, with fewer and fewer launches, although last year they left us with a new model in Spain. The manufacturer’s first phone for this 2021 is already real, it is the HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G, a model within the mid-range that already comes with 5G connectivity.

The HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G is presented as a balanced model within the mid-range, with specifications that meet expectations within this market segment. Although it has a usual brand problem again: its price is too high.

Features HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G

A mid-range with 5G

The HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G arrives with a more modern design than other phones of the brand, with a large panel of 6.7 inches in size, with a perforation in the upper central part of it. In that perforation we find its 16 Mpx front camera, which will comply when it comes to taking selfies. The fingerprint sensor is located on one side on this occasion.

The phone comes with 5G connectivity as standard, thanks to the use of Snapdragon 690 like its processor, a Qualcomm chip that brings 5G to the cheapest mid-range. Next to the processor there is a unique combination of RAM and storage (8/128 GB) and it has a large 5,000 mAh capacity battery, with 18W fast charging.

On the back of this new HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G four cameras await us: 48 Mpx main sensor, an 8 Mpx ultra wide angle, a 2 Mpx macro sensor and a 2 Mpx depth sensor. A combination that we have seen a lot on the market this past year and that promises to continue to be popular in the mid-range.

One of the disappointments in this model is that it comes with Android 10 as standard, when it would be normal for it to use Android 11. It is not known when you will have access to this update, if it arrives.

The HTC Desire 21 Pro 5G can be purchased now in Taiwan, available in a single RAM and storage version. It is available in two colors: gray and lilac. The price of this phone is 11,990 Taiwan dollars, which in exchange is about 350 eurosa somewhat high price considering its specifications.

No word on its international launch at this time, though HTC is expected to announce its availability in select markets shortly.

ZTE It is a brand that I have lost track of for a couple of years. Although it is true, the high-end continued to attract my attention with its Axon, in the mid-range and from the beginning it was being outdated by the strong competition found in Xiaomi, Lenovo or Samsung, in addition to the arrival of Oppo, really , Vivo and Honor, so he was unaware of a large part of his models in this area.

Nevertheless, ZTE It continues to be a brand with a strong presence in markets such as Peru, already having a won sector waiting for its news. For this reason, it was a pleasure to return to the lower mid-range to test an affordable equipment within our context: the ZTE Blade V30. Can this cell phone surprise us?

ANDZTE Blade V30 specifications

Design

To be honest, the style of the ZTE Blade V30 I found it quite attractive and stole glances among my acquaintances.

We have a rear governed by a large rectangular camera module in the upper left. This sector doesn’t protrude sharply from the unit, but is elegantly placed to distribute its four sensors plus flash. Also, if you cast it on a solid surface, it won’t wobble.

The material that predominates is polycarbonate and, although it does not look bad, it is certainly a bit weak on rough surfaces. Be careful where you put it if you don’t want to damage it (I experienced it myself).

As for fingerprints, it picks up dirt in a not so coarse way, without completely absorbing it, so with routine cleaning it will return to normal.

On its main face, we have a 6.67 “IPS screen with FHD + resolution with very few edges. At the top, the selfie sensor is placed in the center of the screen, without any kind of notch. Practical and simple.

Let’s go to the sides. Above is the slot for chip and SD memory, as well as a small microphone. The right side maintains the buttons to decrease and increase the volume, accompanied by the fingerprint sensor that also works as a lock button. Advancing opinion, the sensor is fast and accessible, while facial recognition is slow and not so recommended.

We close the ports (the left side has none) at the bottom, with an ever-convenient 3.5mm headphone jack, the reset button, and the single speaker. I must mention that the box brings us a wired headset to accompany our outings, a fact that I highlight because I have not seen one incorporated for a long time.

Before moving on to the performance itself, I should mention that although it looks like a heavy cell phone, ZTE Blade V30 I found it lighter than it appears, being comfortable in the grip and in daily use.

Performance

With few buts in the design (beyond the plastic profile that is understandable for its price), the general performance has left me divided: I am satisfied with several of its characteristics, but I feel that it lacks a lot of soul in others.

The ZTE Blade V30 It comes with a Unisoc T618 processor, a chip designed for the low end, trying to work within its limitations, especially for tasks that are not so heavy or high in number.

The cell phone is good at using social networks, but if you bring them together and add multimedia apps in the background, some “hiccups” or slowdowns begin to appear that will force you to close everything. Only on one occasion did the phone completely reboot for me.

But this behavior is a bit extreme and it’s non-recurring, so if you enjoy WhatsApp conversations, a bit of Facebook browsing, and throw in some YouTube or Spotify, you shouldn’t have a problem.

He is not a gamer

We added performance and started playing with it. ZTE Blade V30. Something that we must understand is that the processor, although it tells us that it is, is not necessarily made for games, so we will have to be aware of something: if we want to have the titles of the moment, we must play at a minimum configuration to have the greatest performance.

We tried with Call of Duty Y pokemon unite, having a correct performance with few exceptions. Note that the medium setting is not recommended for these higher quality productions because frame drops will start to recur.

Of course, I make it clear that it does not overheat despite the effort in games.

Android 11

On the software side, I was surprised to see a low-end device with Android 11 pre-installed, without the need for patches. Your experience will be almost clean, because even though ZTE It has a personalization layer called MiFavor, this is not very intrusive in the use of the user. I feel that it takes a few hints from Xiaomi’s MIUI, but that it gives more of a feeling of having a pure Android.

Of course, although it doesn’t have as many pre-installed apps, I find it a bit awkward to have the apps of the phone company that sells them as bloatware. It takes pleasure from the team.

As a neutral point, I remember that the equipment is compatible with 4G networks, not 5G. Also, it does not have NFC.

spacious screen

To move to multimedia, we must stop at the screen. Despite not being OLED or AMOLED, it is large and works well in the reproduction of photos and videos. In addition, it maintains a high pixel density, a fact that I highlight. It should be remembered that it has a standard refresh rate of 60 hertz.

Something that keeps me guessing is that I noticed the saturated colors. More than in the audiovisual, I appreciated it in everyday apps. Is WhatsApp really that green? Also, I emphasize that outdoors you will need to put the brightness at 100% to be able to see.

Despite this, in general terms, the screen does not decline and is positioned as a strong point of the model.

Seen is decent, but heard? The ZTE Blade V30 It brings us an equalizer to improve our audio in headphones (I already mentioned it, but I’ll point it out again: it brings one in the box), but in speaker it must… a lot. In addition to having a single outlet (which can be easily obstructed), its volume is low, so it will not be your first choice if you want to liven up a small impromptu “meeting” or listen to audio on the street. In this sense, I also noticed that between the penultimate and the last audio level (the highest volume) there is a big difference in noise.

Great autonomy

But if he can boast of something ZTE Blade V30 is that it maintains a productive battery. With 5000 mAh, the equipment has managed to last me up to two full days of continuous use. During testing, it withstood me through my entire workday on my heavy day. Completely satisfied with this point, despite its “fast” charge of 18W, which is not so fast in use.

You owe us on smart cameras

Finally, the camera section is a point for debate. I feel that it is decent, but if you go through it point by point you will find deficiencies.

In general, the images taken give a good impression, but you see their lack of detail when you zoom in or emphasize certain areas in your composition.

Like all gear, it works best with strong natural lighting, but it’s not without that kind of “watercolorization” on some solid backgrounds.

I consider that artificial intelligence, a consequence of the chip, is not the one that works in the best way. It does not find the highlights of the photograph and, when processing them, it does not exploit the images as other equipment does.

Another detail to take is that it takes one or two seconds to take the picture. It is not immediate and it is felt.

I also criticize the low zoom (up to x4) of the camera.

The video section is not its strong point either, with a recording of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second with colors that are not true to reality and with little significant image stabilization.

Is the ZTE Blade V30 worth it?

I believe that the right person will know how to balance the pros and cons of ZTE Blade V30. For its price range (less than 900 soles and on offer with plans), I feel that it stands out in terms of autonomy, offers an elegant design and allows you to enjoy good multimedia. Nevertheless, add a medium number of applications and it will start to suffer, you will play the titles of the moment in basic configurations and its camera will not dazzle you. It is not bad at all and it could help you decide whether it has an almost pure Android 11 (without so many apps that hinder the experience) or has a headphone port and comes with its own, but I would only recommend it if you are a NO user demanding, with more concern in the battery and the screen or perhaps ‘a small house’ of ZTE. Otherwise, if you are looking for a good ratio of components and performance in general for the price to pay (without brand ties), you can look for other options.

*Equipment loaned by ZTE from January 20 until the publication of the review. Price: 899 soles in free equipment at Entel.

Outside of the big spotlights, big announcements, and stunning photos iPhones can take each year, there’s one area where Apple is unrivaled. At least within the mass software industry. It is not something new, the company has always been characterized by open and accessible products, but with each generation of devices it has gone a step further.

That is why it is strange that an announcement like the one that has come as a surprise today has not been reserved for one of the big announcements of the year. The first of these, scheduled for this June at the annual developer conference, will bring great news that will have a great impact on the daily lives of many people. Today’s, it will literally change the lives of a small group of people. Innovations, if possible, more important than the list of general news of the next iOS 16.

At the moment it is nothing more than a preview, a small glimpse that shows us what technology will be capable of changing the lives of many people. Apple has announced, again without major deployments, what is perhaps the most important list of improvements to its operating systems in the last five years.

The company has presented it as a previews from innovative software features that introduce new ways for users with disabilities to navigate, connect, But it is much more impressive than it seems at first glance. Put simply, these are new accessibility features that most users will not need to usebut for a small group it will be a great leap forward.

Your ad won’t take over big headlines or YouTube thumbnails, but they will change, when they become available later this year, the way many people use technology and their relationship with it. That is why they are so important, more than the possible redesign of the home screen of iOS 16, improvements in notification management or the possibility of third-party stores.

There are three great novelties, which are supported by other functions already available but that will make Apple devices a special value for those who have difficulties: Door detection, Voice Control Y SwitchControla new functionality that allows you to fully control the Apple Watch from the iPhone, for example.

LiDAR and triple camera to take more than just photos:

In the coming months, Apple will bring to its accessibility options something they have called Door Detector (Door detection). A functionality that will allow blind or visually impaired people Analyze your route in real time so that the iPhone alerts you when there is a door. And not only that, it will provide feedback to the user in real time to understand how far away they are from the door and describe the attributes of the door, including whether it is open or closed and, when closed, whether it can be pushed open or rotated.

In addition, this functionality is capable of reading signs and symbols around the door, such as the room number, the office number or the presence of an accessible entrance symbol. It works by combining two of the star technologies of recent years in the Pro range: the LiDAR radar that was first included in the iPad Pro of 2020 and is now present in the iPhone, the camera of the devices and machine learning of the device using the Neural technology of its chips.

Door detection works alone or in conjunction with other iOS features like person detection and image descriptions, and will make iPhone a complete guide for low-vision or blind users. Although these new options will be included within the Magnifier application, the truth is that Apple Maps will also be integrated It will also include some of these features: It will offer sound and haptic prompts for VoiceOver users to identify the starting point of the walking directions, which they can then continue with the other app.

AirPlay on the Apple Watch, but not for what you imagine

Another of the great accessibility features with which Apple wants to open its smartwatch to a broader user base is with an old feature: AirPlay. Under the name of Apple Watch Mirroringnew accessibility options will let you control Apple Watch remotely from the iPhone it’s paired with.

This will include the ability to use voice command inputs, sound actions, head tracking or external switches. Made for iPhone as alternatives use the screen of the Apple Watch. Thus, users who do not have the ability to interact with the Apple Watch screen will be able to use the System Apps.

Quick options on the Watch are also expanded, and now with a gesture you can answer or end a call, dismiss notifications, take photos or pause music, all with gestures without touching the screen.

And although these are the most spectacular, they are not the only ones. Some additional features that will allow more users with difficulties to use the iPhone or iPad. For example:

We will see a lot of news from Apple at WWDC this year, but they will certainly not be as important as these.
